During the discussion/conversational sessions, native English speakers and non-native English speakers may be asked most or all of the questions (Q1-Q8) as follows.
More questions may be included. I have included some of my opinions/replies/answers in blue to some of my own questions below. Participants are free to explore or to share different answers or different opinions during the online chat sessions.
During the sessions, participants may be asked:
1. What is Global English?
For example, Global English can be defined as a wide variety of accents spoken around the world, following the standard pronunciation rules/spelling rules/grammar rules of Standard American/British English.
2. Will English continue to be the most effective global language in the 21st century?
My answer will be: Yes, English will continue to be the most effective and most important language for most people who wish to learn more about our ever changing world.
3. What have you learned about English as a Global Language?
I have learned that whilst the widespread usage of English around the world is helpful for many of us who can communicate well in English, there are still many other places, e.g. in many so-called bilingual places in SEA that often failed to see the importance of English as a Global Language. For example, the inconsistent usage or omission of usage of English in food labelling. Also, many a times or in many instances - no English translation is available next to their indecipherable local text for us foreign visitors. I think they should put more effort in being more consistent in their usage of English language if they wish to use any English at all.
4. What do you think of World Englishes?
I think World Englishes are fine as long as they are intelligible and follow most of the rules of Global English.
5. Do you think there may be inconsistencies or confusion with regard usage of the term Global English?
I think if native English speakers as well as non-native English speakers who speaks a variety of non-native English accents consistently used most of the Standard English Vocabulary as well as followed most of the common grammar/spelling/pronunciation rules of Standard American English/Standard British English usage whilst using the term Global English, it should be acceptable to use the term Global English.
6. Which historical time period in English do you find most fascinating? Why?
I find the Late Modern English Period (18th century - present) to be the most fascinating because it relate to me in the present times, as we enter into the first quarter of the 21st century and hopefully, it would continue to retain most of the fascinating features for many more centuries to come.
7. What are the advantages of English as a global language in your life?
To me, as the founder of Wendy's Global English, there are just too many advantages as well as challenges that comes with achieving a certain level of high proficiency in English language. I get to explore the world via reading and interacting with people from around the world. I feel less isolated in this ever changing world that sometimes can be overwhelming.
8. If you are a native English speaker, do you sometimes find it challenging when communicating, for example, with some non-native English speakers who are from SEA?
Even though I am originally a non-native English speaker, I do find it quite exasperating when trying to understand some non-native English speakers in SEA. I am not saying they should speak perfect English or native-like English. I just think they need to put more effort in achieving a certain level of English, or be more consistent in their usage of English if they wish to use any English at all.
I also personally encountered too many unfortunate incidents whereby non-native speakers were noted to be extremely rude and abusive when they were "communicating" in English. I am not saying all non-native speakers are intentionally nasty. I am just pointing out the too many unpleasant incidents may be as a result of differences in culture, etc.

Each participant is allocated a 30 minutes slot for each two-way communication session with Wendy's Global English. Participants may focus more on some of the questions and may skip some of the questions. This is not a test. This is meant to be an online discussion session and an informal learning experience for native speakers as well as non-native speakers.
Readers, please bear with me as I, at various times, may revise my contents or try out various designs for my website. Please also note that though I am very keen on starting this online project soon, I would also have to consider other factors such as reliability of internet connections that may affect my ability to proceed with the online sessions whilst travelling around South East Asia. Therefore, please check for any updates with regard my Wendy's Global English online project via my monthly blog page at my Wendy's Journal website - https://temp-whcglsrlfakoxkbtbdiw.webadorsite.com
